Right. Because if you don’t give it then it’s sucked. It’s a zero. If you give it. What level was it at. Right. So there’s different levels. And I would just say commit to perfect.
Like if you’re going to commit to something commit to doing it at a high level. Guys you are trading time. The one thing that nobody gets more of to come be here at this homebuilding company. Don’t you want to get the highest return on your time you possibly can? I know I do. That’s why I try and bring passion every day when I’m going through this stuff with you guys, because I want the highest return possible.
I put my blood, sweat and tears into looking up dad jokes and Mexican words of the day for you guys. This and the training portion of our our new home sales training portion of the meeting. I put a lot of passion into it and try to do it as best I can every day, because I don’t want you guys to jump on here and be like, you know, Aaron really didn’t didn’t bring any passion today, right?
So I would just say for you guys, commit to being perfect, doing it at a high level, like, don’t try to trade your very valuable time away from doing the other things you’d like to be doing with your time, and then just kind of do it halfway. I would actually, if I were you guys, I would record yourself giving your best five easy steps and then critique yourself on it.
What could I do better? What am I not doing? Well.
Pros don’t rise to the level of their intention. They rise to the level of their preparation.
You don’t rise to the level you intended to just because you intended to. You rise to the level of how prepared you are to do it.
Right. And then the last thing I would do is home builder coach would commit to having fun with it. If you are not having fun when you’re giving a presentation to a customer, you need to commit to having fun with it.
Home builder coach has committed to having fun by bringing you the Mexican word of the day or dead jokes.
Right, you need to commit to having fun with it. We sell a fun product you guys. We are not selling radiation machines for cancer patients or colostomy bags for a living. Those are not fun things to be in the business of selling. Yes, doctor. Goldberg. Yes. I’d like to talk to you about my newest colostomy bags.
They’re, they’re the old ones were an eight millimeter, and nobody likes a spill. We’ve with you 11. Oh, here. Oh. Ostomy bags. Now, you need shit bags because we got shit bag. Guys, we don’t show that. Thank God we sell a fun product. It should be fun.
When was the last crack at. Let’s get my mustache for Brady. I like the mustache. That’s good. Tie. Oh. This happened. Oh, hang on, keep that on screen. I got to see a big version of your mustache. Oh. That’s good. I didn’t know you could do that on zoom. Is that real? Is it? It’s probably just glued on.
Is that home builder coach hears this is more. Brady’s out there. We can. Okay. And then when was the last time you had a truly fun experience buying something. You know, like when was the last time you had like a blast buying something from somebody? Not when I bought my colostomy bag. Exactly. Not when I bought a radiation machine for cancer treatment.
Right. That is not a fun thing. We sell a fun thing. So when’s the last time you had fun buying something? And if if you’re having fun, then the customer is having fun. You guys, this should not feel like you’re getting a proctologist exam. Then you should feel like you’re having a party and it’s a lot of fun.
If you’re having fun, they’re going to have fun and they will buy when they have fun, they like you more when you’re super prepared. How many of you have ten. At least ten pre-made brochure packages in your model home ready to hand out so when the next customer comes in, I’ve already got it ready before they walk in the door.
And in your drawer. Not set out for them to pick up like they’re walking through a, buffet.
Getting food right. You should have it in your possession, and you should give it to them in the moment when you mean to give it to them. How many of you have your clipboard with all of your stuff on it that we talked about in the clipboard, right. These are the things that you should commit to so that you are ready and you do a great job when the customer walks in.
And if you don’t have fun, they’re not going to have fun. So you got to have fun. That’s the last thing you really should commit to is having fun and making them have fun. Right? And if that means that you tell some of my incredible dad jokes just to help get them over into laughter, great laughter, that’s fair.
Everything. Have you heard the Mexican word Obama? No. He’s going to build it by myself. No, I was going to build it with a friend, but I had to build it all by myself.
That was good. That was not good. Yeah. Turn that off. That was not good. So racist. You know, it just wasn’t a good joke. Dang it. You know, but I did have a friend who said she didn’t understand cloning, and I told her that makes two of us. He told this one the other day. Okay, okay. There you go.
All right, so those are the things that you want to commit to, and you also want to commit to having a virtual mustache. Like I just put on in a zoom meeting. How did he do that? I don’t know, that’s like on the top and the three little dots and then go adjust background and effects. Is it really fake?
Yeah, it’s just I mean, you can give yourself so many years, but I give myself a rat tail colors. I don’t think I’ve ever seen your face back up yet. Hey, I got new eyebrows, guys. It’s cool. You know, way. Oh my God. Oh it’s awesome. I mean, maybe. Oh, yeah. Oh, pretty. Yeah. You know what I mean?
That’s a hilarious. I think it’s good. Although I think darken it. Oh there we go. No. Oh no. It was like a dye dude. Oh my God, I’m liking it. You look like a like a, What’s that French guy? Did you give yourself lipstick? Beautiful.
Look like you voted for Kamala. How do you guys like this? You like my lipstick color. Okay. All right, so, like I said, if you’re not having fun, right, you’re not adding really weird eyebrows. Do yourself. Then what do you do in people? So. Oh, like, go. All right, there you go. There’s your entertainment for the day. It was better than my dad jokes at least.
One thing I want to add, though, is home builder coach. Going back to just do what is also your. Why, I think, well, for me, that’s a big one because, you know, I moved down here to be closer to my nieces, nephews, family. And so, I don’t know, for me, that’s a big one is, you know, I’m not doing this just just to waste time or just a pastime.
It’s really to, you know, kind of give them something and show them stability and just all of that good stuff. And I’m sure we all have those people in our lives. So. Oh, yeah, Ashley does. Home builder coach knows she does. Everybody you guys have. You got to have a big reason why. Why helps you to figure out how to.
But my you know, my takeaway from today is yeah. There you go. Really is figure out, what’s the maze? Loading a whiteboard. There we go. All right. Thank you. Ty. So the the figuring out and then committing to it. Right. We all have things that we intended to get done this week, but it’s committing to doing those things right.
And in our world, it’s there’s income producing activities that we know help us to do better. And it’s one thing to commit to it. It’s another thing to just go do it right. So that was kind of what I wanted you guys to think about today. That’s why I brought it up and I got to run to my next thing.
