Our Story
Joe & Aaron Antis…
Joe and Aaron Antis got interested in homebuilding when they were 10 and 12 years old. We grew up in Ann Arbor Michigan and lived in the country away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Until one day a new home developer cut a road into the property next to our childhood home. That road was the beginning of a new home neighborhood that would see many homes built in it over the coming years. As brothers who always used to play in those woods behind our home, we now found new interest in exploring basements, and framing and drywall and trim in the homes being built behind our home. We would take graph paper and pencils and tape measures and attempt to draw out the homes we saw being built in our childhood playground. This was the beginning of our passion for home building.
Joe Antis would go on to the University of Michigan architecture school to become an architect, and then to work in an ultra high-end custom home building company in Ann Arbor where he would move from framer to Trim Carpenter to upper level management. Joe saw the exhilaration of some of the most beautiful high-end custom homes in the state of Michigan, and felt the lows of the frustration of what custom home building can be with its complications and intricacies. Eventually, Joe would create efficiencies and systematize custom home building to turn that custom company into a profit generating machine.
Aaron Antis began his new home sales and marketing career…
Aaron Antis began his new home sales and marketing career by going to work for the man who had just left from his position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Toll Brothers, the nation’s largest luxury home builder. This man would become a mentor to Aaron and would go on to teach him how to market and sell new homes at a PhD level of mastery. After all, he had done it on the largest scale for one of the largest builders in the nation. Aaron was very fortunate in that he got to work directly under his mentor for four years. after learning all of those things from his mentor, Aaron ventured out into his own sales and marketing company for home builders where he would teach the tricks of the trade to new home sales people for over 20 different home building companies in Michigan. Then as the mortgage meltdown crisis gripped America in 2007, Aaron moved to Tulsa Oklahoma to run the Sales and Marketing for Shaw Homes. In 2007 they were a $15 Million dollar per year company. Over the coming years Aaron would grow the company’s sales from $15 Million a year to $140 Million dollar a year company.
In 2013, Aaron was finally able to convince Joe to move down to Tulsa Oklahoma and join him at Shaw Homes. It only took 437 times of Aaron asking before Joe finally conceded that he needed to move back close to where his brother was and help him with the efficiencies and systems at Shaw Homes. With the seals skyrocketing and many houses to build Joe was able to come in and create, the systems and processes to make the home building company and purchasing department run smoothly as he had done at other companies, and now the two brothers who began their journey walking through houses his kids and dreaming about being in the home building industry were running one of the largest home building companies in the state of Oklahoma. Joe, with the systems and processes for the architecture construction in purchasing departments and Aaron with the systems and processes to generate incredible numbers of leads for sales. Now this home building dynamic duo packs a great one-two punch for any builder who is looking to grow from 40 houses a year to 400 houses a year. As we often say it is much easier to build 400 houses a year than it is to build 40 because you have to have systems and processes in place to do it, and it becomes a business where you are clicking buttons to build homes at that point.
Billion Dollar
Blueprint to Success
What Joe and Aaron are able to do for Homebuilders is to take them from the pain point of every home being a one-off event that takes a ton of manual time to create material lists and take offs to do estimating to draw a working set of floorplans and blueprints and to a place where all of the take offs and material lists and pricing and blueprints are 100% dialed in with maximum accuracy for profitability. Most custom home builders. Don’t want to grow their company because the pain is already so great at 30 houses a year that they can’t see going to the level of 300 houses a year as being anything that they can endure. But there is a better way of doing things and Joe and Aaron are able to walk you through the path of getting to the top of the mountain like so few home builders have been able to do. It doesn’t have to be so painful, it can actually be enjoyable growing a home building company, not to mention being much more profitable.
In 2021 Joe and Aaron began showing other builders how to do what they had done at Shaw Homes. They launched into teaching builders the ways of production home building. They created what they call the Billion Dollar Blueprint to Success. And now they teach it to builders in a one-on-one coaching system where they share all the checklists, templates, systems and processes that they have learned over a couple decades of growing home building companies. They make it so that homebuilders never have to flounder, wondering how to turn their disorganization into organization and how to convert unprofitable homes into more profitable homes. It’s hard to know the path to success if you haven’t been down the path already. And now you don’t have to do it on your own. You can learn from mentors instead of learning from mistakes. Joe and Aaron wish they had the people in their lives to show them all the steps as they went through the process and so they are in turn doing that for others.
